Leyton & Arthur Le Vaillant
Leyton and Arthur have joined forces – centered around the common values of technology, ecology, and adventure. Our common objective? To bring one unified voice to a strong commitment to the preservation of the environment.
As a committed company, Leyton has decided to achieve this goal by developing its Sustainability By Leyton program. A commitment Leyton wishes to solidify alongside a navigator for whom the environmental cause is a philosophy of life.
This November the Class40 Leyton will embark for the Route du Rhum, with the skipper Arthur Le Vaillant at its helm. From the construction of the sailboat to his arrival in Guadeloupe, Leyton will assist Arthur every step of the way on his journey.
We can’t wait to see Arthur depart for this legendary race in Saint-Malo on 4th November, 2018!
So what is the goal? To ensure Arthur the best chance of winning whilst minimising our carbon footprint.
Arthur and Leyton share the same ambition: leading this adventure towards success, while respecting the environment. This action is reflected internally by the involvement of Leyton’s experts from their Energy Department. The energy efficiency and the choice of instruments on board have been examined within Leyton. Next-generation photovoltaic cells will provide most of the energy required for the permanent demands of the skipper, the autopilot and the digital equipment on board.
At 30 years old, Arthur is both a talented navigator and a top athlete. An entrepreneur and ocean lover, he is constantly looking for opportunities to explore the world and pursue his dreams by being a fierce competitor. His only goals: the victory, of course, but mainly the experience of sharing.
