Reference : Seeking Graduate looking for a role as a business consultant

Start Date : 04/07/2011

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

Duties include but are not limited to:

·         First point of contact with clients;

·         Participate in technical discussions with clients as well as with colleagues to optimise claims;

·         Draft technical reports detailing qualifying R&D projects;

·         Preparation of R&D Tax Relief calculations and the filing of the same with HMRC;

·         Support of R&D Tax Relief claims in the event of HMRC Audit/enquiries;

·         When qualified, taking control of the whole project delivery process.

This is a client facing role working with customers in a wide range of industry sectors. We are particularly interested in speaking to graduates with backgrounds/experience in Food/Agricultural Science, maths, physics or manufacturing.

Candidate Requirements :

An ideal candidate will have the following:

·         Preferably 2 years' practical experience in the above fields;

·         Curiosity, awareness and an interest in other fields of science, technology and innovation;

·          Strong interest in applying the R&D concept to a wide range of industrial sectors is a must

·         Excellent communication (both spoken and written) and people skills;

·         Strong numerical ability and a proven track record of working to tight deadlines;

·         Independent thought and enthusiastic team player.
