Job Vacancy – R&D Tax Consultant

Due to the continued growth and success of our business, we are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious tax consultant to work within our multi-disciplinary R&D Tax Credit team. Our team is not only made up of tax professionals and accountants. You will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled and experienced engineers and scientists in the delivery of bespoke solutions to our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will report to the R&D Consultant Manager.

Duties will include:

· Ensuring each R&D Tax Credit claim meets the requirements of the relevant tax legislation and guidelines;
· Identification of qualifying R&D expenditure and calculation of R&D Tax Credit;
· Project Management of claims i.e. continuously liaising with clients, colleagues and Revenue to ensure claims are optimised and deadlines are met;
· Review of tax technical issues;
· Support of R&D Tax Credit claims in the event of Revenue Audit/enquiries.

Candidate Requirements :

An ideal candidate will have the following:

· Tax Background –ITI qualified with at least 2 years experience, preferably in corporation tax. Experience in R&D Tax Credits will be an advantage. The role may also suit an accountant with relevant tax experience.
· Revenue Audit Experience.
· Excellent organisational skills, communication skills and IT skills are essential.
· Awareness of and interest in scientific/technological developments.
· Team Player and ability to work on own initiative.
